I found out some devastating news. I read this article entitled 10 Crimes You’re Committing Against Your Cheese and found out that I have committed most of the cheese crimes. Including but not limited to: wrapping my cheese in plastic (Ziplocks), eating it straight out of the fridge, buying too much cheese at once (is this seriously a crime?!), and using the same knife for every cheese. I do buy shredded cheese, too, but I know it’s place (in my mouth!). And I do freeze shredded cheese.
So I’m not here to tell you how to build a proper cheese place or correctly pair your cheeses. I’ll just tell you what cheeses I’ve been snacking on lately and maybe inspire you to try something new.
Also, fancy crackers are fine but let’s be real, so are Ritz and Triscuits. I’m sure eating those with fancy cheese is another crime, but regardless, most weekends we enjoy a cheese snack with whatever cheese is in the fridge and whatever cracker was on sale. And if #fromagefebruary isn’t an occasion for a cheese plate, I don’t know what is.

What are your favorite snacking cheeses?
There’s only a week left in Fromage February! So far I’ve made mac & cheese, queso cheese – used on nachos and burrito bowls, cheesesteak sliders, beer cheese, and cheesecake. I also attempted to make homemade mozzarella cheese, which actually turned into ricotta cheese (oops). I have one or two more recipes up my sleeve, but I’m already getting excited to start on March’s theme!
